I should have posted this yesterday, but I got horribly busy. By the time I was unbusy, my brain had turned into Jell-o. Anyway…
Yesterday was Guy Fawkes Day! Remember, remember, the Fifth of November!
I’m very fond of the movie V for Vendetta. Not everyone thought it was very good, but I love it. I love how Hugh Weaving acts with the mask on. His actions almost change the mask’s expression, even though technically, the expression never changes. I love the concepts and ideas. And that soliloquy! Oh, it makes me swoon.
We look at sexy men and our hearts flutter. Mine flutters at sexy ideas, beautiful words, and passion for something that stirs the blood.
Okay. And sexy men.

Have a look, guys! There’s an excerpt of Meghan’s Submission in Cobblestone’s Newsletter this month!
I’m pretty excited about the upcoming release of this story. It’s my first, and I’m proud of it. I’ve learned a lot in the entire process, and I’ve had the opportunity to work with some amazing people.
Two more weeks!

I’ve written for most of my life. I wrote my way out of trouble in my seventh-grade English class (I’d been very, very bad and hadn’t bothered to do my homework), from a D to an A+, because the teacher gave extra credit for stories you turned in. I was voted Most Likely to be Published in High School. (Good call, guys!) I am amazingly scribbly.
But I’ve never written a love scene from a first person point of view before. I’ve written oodles of stories in the first person, but never anything steamy like that. And it’s a challenge! My biggest problem? Trying not to make it sound like a grocery list.
“He did this. Then he did this. Then I did this. Loaf of bread. Stick of butter. Container of milk. Throbbing manhood.”
Wait. Can I get one of those at the store? What aisle is it in? Is there a two-for-one coupon somewhere?
